So, the story of Swagat actually starts with the personal history of Chef Deepak Chauhan. He spent some time working at a fancy 5-star hotel in Bombay, where he honed his skills in Indian cuisine. Later on, he gained even more experience by working for BMW in Germany for six years, before continuing his culinary journey in Moraira, Alicante.

In June 2017, Swagat opened its doors in Valencia, specifically in the Cánovas neighborhood. They had a team of Indian professionals with between 10 and 15 years of experience, and over the next two years, Swagat established itself as one of the best Indian restaurants in Valencia. They even got some recognition in media outlets like Valencia City, and received excellent reviews from satisfied customers. In fact, in 2019, they were awarded the Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor!

Then, in June 2019, Swagat expanded by opening a second restaurant in Valencia, this time near the City of Arts and Sciences. Then in 2022, opened a third location in L’Eliana,
